Half Blood Cover Reveal and Giveaway!

Friday, May 22, 2015
"Today's the day!" I squeal to you reading this blog.

You all stare blankly.

"The post! The cover! I get to share it!"

"The cover of what?" You question.

I point to the image below. "The cover of that book. Half Blood." *grins widely*

You glance at the cover. "The cover looks rather epic. But, it's just another cover reveal in the blogosphere. I have some writing to get done..." You are about to close out the tab.

"Wait!" I yell. "There's more than just the cover. Look, waaaay below in the post. Yup. There's a giveaway. Several in fact. You should enter, and read more about the book." I urge you to do so.

And so you do.

(Psst! Spoiler alert -- you'll be glad you did. The book is fantastic.)

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000040_00026]

The gasps and murmuring grew. Though some were hardly more than whispers, clear words reached Jace’s ears—dangerous, monster, animal, soulless. He tried to back away from their accusing eyes, but the collar pulled hard against his throat and held him in place.

For all his years as a slave, Jace has known nothing but the hatred people hold for his mixed blood—one half human, the other half the blood of a race considered monsters. Always, he is the outsider and quickly learns it is better to keep to himself. But, when his volatile ryrik blood leads him to do the unthinkable, he is thrown into a world of violence and bloodshed.

Forced to become a gladiator, Jace finds more and more of his heart dying as his master works to break down his will not to become the monster everyone believes he is. When a stranger interferes with his master’s harsh punishment, Jace’s world is upended yet again. But with it comes the possibility of hope that has long since died. Could the man possibly hold the key to escaping the hopeless darkness that is Jace’s life? Is there such a thing as life beyond the cruelty of slavery?

See where Jace’s story all began . . .

So I've been a terrible blogger this month, but we won't talk about that. Let's talk about this book. Does it look like something you'd read? Have you read the Ilyon Chronicles? GLADIATORS, people. Any other books that I should know featuring them?

  1. The book looks pretty good although I'm not used to reading that genre I may read it :) The cover is pretty awesome! Books with gladiators in them? I've only read one and it was required for schoolwork. It was Eagle of the Ninth by Rosemary Sutcliff. It was really good but kinda slow moving. It took me a year and a half to read it.... but it was good lol

    1. Fantasy is an awesome genre. *nods* What genre do you normally read?
Year and a half? 0.0 Oh my goodness. There are a few books I have laying around that I've started but never come close to finishing. I'll have to pick them up again sometime soon. :p
