This weeks Top Ten Tuesday prompt is fun. Ready for it?
Top Ten Most Anticipated Releases For the Rest of 2015
I love releases. As soon as I hear the release date of a long-awaited book, I'll start a countdown for it. Yes. I'm one of those people. Can you imagine the celebration when said book actually comes out?
Though despite the awesomeness of it, (come on, new books!) I could only come up with five. I know, it's pitiful. So you're going to have to help me out and name some books that I SHOULD be excited about!
Here's my list of upcoming releases that I'm beyond excited about: (Pictures lead to Goodreads)

A ship bearing the souls of sinful sailors drifts upon a ghostly sea. An abbey looms as the final defense between mortals and ghouls of the underworld. In the stillness of a throne room, statues stand forever frozen in a moment of terror. Monsters and men stalk their prey deep in the jungle’s shadows. A rose blooms in the dead of winter, sheltered in the ruins of an ancient Scottish castle.
And only true love can free the Beast from his prison.

Knife
-
Release date: July 21st.
-
Forget everything you think you know about faeries. . . . Creatures full of magic and whimsy? Not in the Oakenwyld. Not anymore. Deep inside the great Oak lies a dying faery realm, bursting with secrets instead of magic. Long ago the faeries mysteriously lost their magic. Robbed of their powers, they have become selfish and dull–witted. Now their numbers are dwindling and their very survival is at stake. Only one young faery–Knife–is determined to find out where her people's magic has gone and try to get it back. Unlike her sisters, Knife is fierce and independent. She's not afraid of anything–not the vicious crows, the strict Faery Queen, or the fascinating humans living nearby. But when Knife disobeys the Faery Queen and befriends a human named Paul, her quest becomes more dangerous than she realizes. Knife is a gripping tale of lost magic, high adventure, and surprising friendship in which the fate of an entire realm rests on the shoulders of one brave faery rebel.

This post was a bit on the shorter end, so instead let's start some discussion in the comments. Are you looking forward to any of these books? What books are you looking forward to in the upcoming year? Are there any upcoming releases I should be excited about?!
I....can't think of that many either. Except Winter by Marissa Meyer. And Silver in the Blood by Jessica Day George. Aaaand I need to read the Ilyon Chronicles already.
ReplyDeleteRIGHT. Silver in the Blood. I forgot about that. *headdesk* And I looked it up and it comes out on July 7th! *happy dance*
DeleteYes. You do. Go read them. xD
Hm, I don't know any of these, but I hope you enjoy them all! :D I'm mostly just looking forward to Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo and Winter by Marissa Meyer at this point.
ReplyDeleteI plan on enjoying them. :)
DeleteOh, yes. I've heard lots about Winter. Someday I'll get to reading the rest of that series.
Personally, I'm counting down the days to the next 39 Clues book, Mission Hindenberg!!

Oh my goodness. I remember reading those books! They're still coming out with them? 0.0 I might have to check it out.
DeleteThanks for commenting!
These covers are all gorgeous! I'm probably looking forward to something (deep down in my subconscious), but I'm still trying to catch up with everything that has already come out!
ReplyDeleteAren't they? I practically drool over them every time my eyes land on them... *happy sigh*
DeleteI know. xD There are SO many books already out there that I have to read! Gah, it's crazy hard keeping up with all of them.
I'm not sure I've heard of these books, but my friends have told me that there will be a fifth book in the Penderwicks series (I'm not sure when it will be released exactly) so I'm patiently waiting on that!

Ooh, really? I only remember reading on of the Penderwicks when I was younger. Were the others good?
DeleteThanks for reading! :)
I haven't heard of any of these books, but now, I'm glad I did. They sound pretty exciting! As for me, I'm looking forward to K.M Weiland's next book. I loved all her previous work, and from what I hear, this book is going to be pretty awesome as well. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the list! (And guess who's about to head over to Goodreads?)
--Abby
They are all SO good! I can't wait to hear what you think about them if you do end up reading them. :)
DeleteI've heard of K.M. Wetland from her blog, but wasn't aware that she wrote books. Huh. Makes sense, though. xD *runs over to Goodreads*
You are welcome! We might be already, but if we aren't, we should be friends on Goodreads.
Ooh, now I really can't wait for these books to come out!
DeleteI'm pretty sure that K.M Weiland has written at least three fiction novels. I've read two of them. They were pretty good. :)
I found you on Goodreads, yay! :D
We'll wait anxiously together. xD Some of them are sequels or other books in a series, so you'll want to read the other ones first.
Delete*still needs to find the books on Goodreads* I got distracted. :p
Yay! I accepted your friend request. :D
Ooh, I'm very much looking forward to Poison Crown and Five Enchanted Roses. I've come to expect only the most stellar of writing from Anne Elisabeth Stengl because the quality of her stories astounds me more and more with each passing book of hers that I read. I still have to read Shadow Hand and Golden Daughter before I can read Poison Crown, but I'm still excited for it! Five Enchanted Roses sounds wonderful as well. I love fairytale retellings and it will be good research for Five Magic Spindles. Besides those two books, I am also really looking forward to Winter and Go Set a Watchman. But especially Go Set a Watchman. I am still in shock over the fact that Harper Lee is publishing another book!
ReplyDeleteYES! Anne Elisabeth Stengl is so amazing. I am in awe of her every time I read a book of hers. And Shadowhand is amazing. So is Golden Daughter. *big sigh*
DeleteI've signed up for an advanced PDF copy of Five Enchanted Roses in exchange for a review... Hoping that I'll get accepted! I'm so excited to read all of the stories.
Oh, yes. Winter and Go Set a Watchman. I can't say I'm particularly excited for either of them, but I'm excited for you! :D
Yes! Yes, I'm excited for pretty much all of these! I hadn't heard of Knife, though. I ought to look into that one. But I am so incredibly excited for Poison Crown Part One! That's the one that I'm definitely looking forward to the most! Of course, I'm also really looking forward to Half Blood. :)
ReplyDeleteOf course Half Blood. *happy/sad sigh*
DeleteI really must catch up on the Ilyon and Goldstone Wood books so I can be extra excited about these! XD But yes, FIVE ENCHANTED ROSES! I love B&B stories, so I'm super excited! :) Knife looks interesting too! EEP, so many awesome books are coming out soon! :D
ReplyDeleteAlso! I tagged you on my blog for the Coffee Book tag. :D https://deborahocarroll.wordpress.com/2015/06/22/coffee-book-tag/
Some of these books sound great! I'm adding them to my list of books to read! Right now I'm rereading a couple of my favourite series, but one of the series, Warrior cats by Erin Hunter, She's still writing more books! :)
